Park Crest is the latest addition to the list of TOD (transit oriented development) build in anticipation of Silver Line or aka Dulles Rail. The site sits on a 13-acre of land right in the middle Tysons Corner. Tysons/McLean area is one of the popular urban settings with "world famous" Tysons Corner and Galleria shopping mall and home to many of household names businesses, i.e. Freddie Mac and USA Today. The site is close enough to the proposed two metro stations -- Tysons Central 123 and Tysons Central 7. And it is across the street from Freddie Mac's HQ.
"The focal point of Park Crest is a sweeping central park that creates a cool, green, outdoor "great hall." [Park Crest]
There will be six buildings surrounding the the park slated for this new community of with two of the buildings currently selling, One Park Crest and Lofts at Park Crest.
One Park Crest is a 19-story high rise building with 335 residences planned. Community features include rooftop pools and sun terraces, gracefully landscaped to create a luxury urban environment. The new community will be pedestrian focused. Eighty percent of the homes for Park Crest One -- is sold.
Only selected homes are still available from 1BR, 1BR+ (with sunroom/ den), 2BR, 2BR+, and penthouses. Selected homes will have balcony. Each home features hardwood flooring, 9' ceilings, 42" wood cabinetry with choice of maple finishes, stainless steel GE appliances, Kohler kitchen and bath fixtures, granite countertops and ceramic tiles in baths. It will be a mix use development. One of the future tenants would be Harris Teeter, which will be a great addition to Tysons Corner. As of now, there isn't a grocery store in Tysons area. The lofts will have 11' ceilings with exposed column and ductwork. Each loft residence features top-of-the line appliances, beautiful wood floors, oversized 7' windows, sleek granite countertops and translucent glass 'barn' doors.
The Lofts still have good enough supply of homes available from 1BR to 2BR. What's unique about this loft is some of the homes will have raised bedroom. Living space ranges from 740 SF to 1600 SF. The lofts are priced from upper-$400's for 1BR to low-1M for 2BR (1600 SF). The Lofts at Park Crest scheduled for completion in 2008.
