Park Ridge of Alexandria is a new condo conversion in Alexandria that will be ready for deliveries sometime in December 2005. The location is close to everywhere, DC, Old Town, I-395 and the Beltway. The original complex was built in late '70s. Personally, I think older buildings are actually better than the newer ones. Because it has stood the test of time. I understand that many people prefer new constructions or newer buildings to avoid structural of technical problems that might occur due to the age of the building. It boils down to what is important for you, regardless to the age of the building.
Park Ridge is an all brick building surrounded by mature landscaping and a lush village green. They have one, two or three bedroom homes to choose from with different floor plans.
What's unique about Park Ridge is the fact that they have two-level townhome condominium and single story patio homes. The number of two-level townhome condominiums in Washington DC area is on the rise. I think some people prefer to have living area and bedroom in different level.
