CNN/ Money has a story on where the growth is..and isn't for 2006-2007. This is just a forecast, okay :)
Here's how housing market around this area and beyond stack up. This area:
- Washington DC-Arlington-Alexandria 2.6%
- Bethesda, Frederick, Gaithesburg 1.1%
Beyond DC:
- Hagerstown - Martinsburg, MD6.8%
- Cumberland, MD 10.8%
- Winchester, VA 6.3%
- VA Beach-Norfolk-Newport News 5.4%
- Baltimore-Townson, MD 5.4%
- Blacksburg-Christianburg-Radford, VA 4.3%
- Lynchburg and Roanoke, VA 4.2%
- Charlottesville 2.6%
- Richmond, VA 2.2%
Interesting how they put DC with its immediate neighbors of Arlington and Alexandria, but not Bethesda. Well.. after 5-year historical gains (2001-2005) for Washington DC-Arlington-Alexandria area of 121.3% -- a slight drop in the bucket won't hurt. See how other cities stack up, here.
